Our Mission
Our mission is to help all veterans access the benefits they deserve, many of which they may not know about. To do this, we strive to connect veterans with Veteran Service Organizations and veteran friendly outreach programs specifically tailored to their needs. We are dedicated to advocating for veterans at the local, state, and national levels, ensuring their voices are heard. Through collaboration and trust-building, we strive to provide the best possible assistance for veterans and their families.

How We Came Into Being
- •Genuine desire to help Veterans
- •Discovered gaps in services provided by Veterans Service organizations and other charities
- •Lack of communication between Veterans Service Organizations
- •Desire to connect Veterans to one another and to the service they need/deserve
- •A natural progression of the past 10 years working with Veterans
What's Involved in Our Work
- •Time –Meeting with Veterans or their dependents, researching services, planning meaningful roundtable events
- •Advocacy – Meeting with local, state and national legislators on behalf of Veterans
- •Service – Attending Honors detail at National Cemetery, connecting veterans to National Service Officers, picking up and delivering donations to veterans in need
- •Knowledge –Based on years of dealing with the VA, VSOs, and being an active member of DAV

Making an Impact

- ✓Collecting donations for veterans and distributing them to those in need, provided beds and some furniture to 3 veterans in the same week
- ✓Providing loaner scooters for veterans while they complete the request through the VA
- ✓Connected a homeless veteran with a place to stay overnight when the local shelters were not an option and other organizations were closed for the evening
- ✓Forming coalitions with other VSOs to address the transition from homelessness to being rehomed through Operation Quartermaster
- ✓Veterans are getting their benefits
- ✓New legislative connections for advocacy
- ✓Increased veteran attendance at Veteran Caucus
- ✓Connecting with legislative advocates for veterans
- ✓Increased opportunities for comradery
- ✓Alpha 11 Detachment started at Danbury Assisted Living facility in Tallmadge
- ✓Honors Detachment formed and performing ceremonies on holidays and in schools
